Summary:
* Contribute to the development of clinical governance and medicines safety services.
* Support internal governance workstreams within the primary care contracting team.
* Attend Community Pharmacy meetings and plan community pharmacy work programmes.
* Develop specialist medicines optimisation governance and safety packages.
* Co-ordinate support and advice to improve the safety and quality of prescribing.
* Undertake quality monitoring governance visits and produce detailed reports.
* Implement local and national governance policies and propose changes to practices.
* Co-ordinate the production of guidance, policies, and procedures related to community pharmacy.
* Facilitate partnerships for community pharmacies with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Support the assessment and review of community pharmacy services.
* Investigate medicines incidents in community pharmacies.
* Provide medicines optimisation advice to patients, carers, and service users.
* Maintain confidentiality of information and lead promotional initiatives.
* Liaise with senior staff and share good practice across local authorities.
