As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with the teaching staff, you will provide individualised support to students, adapting materials and resources to meet their specific needs. The successful candidate will have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, either in an educational setting or through voluntary work. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate who demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and other support staff, to develop and implement personalised learning plans for each student. You will assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, provide one-to-one support when necessary, and contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
