We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of education professionals in Exeter, Devon. Our client, a well-established and inclusive school, is seeking a Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of their students with special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with the teaching staff, you will provide individualised support to students, adapting materials and resources to meet their specific needs. Your patience, empathy, and commitment to inclusive education will be essential in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, either in an educational setting or through voluntary work. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate who demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and other support staff, to develop and implement personalised learning plans for each student. You will assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, provide one-to-one support when necessary, and contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress. The position is full-time, with working hours following the school's academic calendar. The salary for this role is a competitive £19.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the work you will be undertaking.
