The postholder will lead on payroll delivery, support the production of management accounts, maintain cash flow, and line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a candidate with a strong financial background and excellent team leadership skills.Main ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries and liaise with external payroll providers.Identify and implement improvements to payroll systems and internal controls.Produce first-draft monthly management accounts with full balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.Maintain and update forward-looking cash flow forecasts.Support the preparation of year-end management and statutory accounts.Work closely with the Head of Finance to provide timely and accurate financial reporting to Budget Holders.Manage, support, and develop the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant through supervision and appraisal.Contribute to delivering a 5-star service across the organisation.CandidateCriteriaCCAB Qualified Accountant with extensive experienceStrong financial background with experience of leading a teamExperience of management accounts and balance sheet and P&L reconciliationsExperience of contributing to year-end and statutory accountsGreat communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a teamIf you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208969 or email greg.waite@servicecare.org.ukService Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus!
