Research Fellow in Computational Engineering
Join the University of Surrey as a post‑doctoral research fellow at the Rolls‑Royce ThermoFluid Systems University Technology Centre. The role involves a 5‑year EPSRC‑funded project to build digital twin models of a full aircraft engine using the UK’s supercomputing services. Responsibilities include validating models, optimising parallel performance, and collaborating with engineers at Rolls‑Royce and academics, postdocs, and PhD students.
The initial contract is for 3 years with potential extension. Ideal candidates have an engineering background with strong mathematical or programming skills, or an applied mathematics, computer science or AI background interested in engineering.
