Experience
Essential criteria
1. •Full and Specialist registration in haematology (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
2. •Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
3. •Evidence of experience and expertise in the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies
4. •Evidence of the ability to offer expert clinical opinion in emergency and elective aspects of haematology taking full and independent responsibility for clinical decisions
5. •Evidence of departmental management experience
6. •Demonstrate knowledge of the role of audit
7. •Evidence of formal undergraduate and postgraduate teaching (courses run, lectures given
8. •Show evidence of understanding of how to develop and deliver a quality service.
Desirable criteria
9. •A specialist interest in the management of Myeloma (Poole hospital based post) and Lymphoma (Bournemouth hospital) is preferable.
10. •Experience of audit management
