Role: Recruitment Advisor
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Salary: £36,657 -£38,382 per annum
Pension contribution: 20.8% (£ FTE)
Location: campus with the requirement to travel to other campuses
About The Role
To deliver and coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and selection activity across the Group, from vacancy approval through to completion of onboarding stage, ensuring effective, compliant and high‑quality recruitment processes and a positive candidate experience.
To provide professional advice and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment and selection, supporting consistent, fair and effective hiring decisions.
To ensure all screening and vetting activities are accurate, compliant and completed in line with legislative, safeguarding and organisational requirements.
To coordinate recruitment activity across the team, ensuring workload is effectively managed across the Recruitment Advisor, Recruitment Administrator and Recruitment Coordinator roles.
To ensure recruitment processes, materials, systems and website content are effectively developed, maintained and continuously enhanced to support high‑quality, compliant recruitment processes and a positive candidate experience in line with organisational priorities.
About you
The post holder will be a CIPD Level 7 qualified professional, or able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge. They will have a strong working knowledge of end‑to‑end recruitment processes, employment legislation and safer recruitment requirements, alongside an up‑to‑date awareness of recruitment technologies and applicant tracking systems. Knowledge of the recruitment challenges and opportunities within educational or further education environments is desirable.
They will bring proven experience of managing recruitment activity within a structured framework, including developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies and initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends, excellent organisational capability to manage multiple priorities, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy throughout all recruitment activity. The individual will be an effective communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders, solve recruitment challenges, and work both independently and collaboratively with flexibility and adaptability.
