A fantastic opportunity for an experienced sheet metal worker has become available to take on a permanent role within a supplier of commercial s/s kitchens and ventilation systems and canopies. Our client has over 20 years’ experience in the manufacturing of the highest quality stainless steel equipment. As a Sheet Metal Worker your role will include: MAIN TASKS * An ability to accurately read Cad drawings and follow them, ensuring all work is efficient, precise and accurate. * Experience of sheet metal working hand tools and equipment i.e. Guillotine, CNC brake press. * The ability to do spot-welding, grinding and finishing to a very high standard. * Welding canopies and parts and any other assemblies requiring this process to a high standard to minimise the polishing process * Preparation of welded parts (Sanding) in readiness for polishing process * All aspects of assembling sub-assemblies using pre folded panels * Feedback any anomalies to Manufacture Supervisor (inaccuracies of drawings, quantities etc) * Self-discipline including dress code, time keeping and all company directives * Tidiness of the production area * Maintenance of machinery and allocated hand tools * Good house keeping * Experience operating a press brake is an advantage The normal hours of work are from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch, and a morning and afternoon...
