About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate AI Solutions Developer to join our newly formed AI team. As a forward-thinking organisation in the financial services industry, we are committed to leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies, including generative AI, to enhance our operations, improve customer experiences, and drive strategic growth. You will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in designing and implementing AI solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating potential risks.
Role Responsibilities
Learning & Development:
o Actively participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance your understanding of AI technologies and their applications in the financial services sector.
o Gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions alongside more senior team members.
o Learn and apply data engineering and analysis techniques to prepare and process data for AI model training and deployment.
o Develop proficiency in Python programming and relevant AI/ML libraries.
o Assist colleagues in the implementation of AI projects, contributing to various stages of the development lifecycle.
o Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and product managers.
o Assist in communicating technical concepts, including those related to generative AI, to non-technical stakeholders.
o Develop an understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, UK Data Protection Act 2018) and risk management principles.
o Assist in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices in AI development and deployment.
o Stay informed about regulatory developments in the financial services sector concerning AI, specifically guidelines from the PRA, FCA, and the Bank of England.
Required Skills / Experience
o Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
o Strong academic foundation in AI/ML concepts and techniques.
o A genuine interest in AI and its potential applications in the financial services industry.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Eagerness to learn, adapt, and collaborate within a team environment.
o Relevant coursework or projects demonstrating practical experience with AI/ML tools
and techniques.
o Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
o Basic understanding of data protection regulations and ethical considerations in AI development.
o Formal exposure to AI/ML in a work setting.
