We're looking for a Yardsman / Valeter to join our team, and play a key role at Activate Accident Repair Glasgow

Role Overview:
The role entails ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy and vehicles are parked appropriately with easy access. Dealing with customers in a professional manner, ensuring high standards of customer service. Responsible for moving vehicles around site, including parking and moving them to the correct bays for work to be completed. Washing and hoovering vehicles when required.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for car parks and positioning of vehicles on site, including moving vehicles around as required, ensuring the are positioned suitably in a valid space and moving vehicles into the workshop for technicians.
* Checking vehicles in when delivered, collected or recovered in.
* Responsible for handing over courtesy cars (if necessary) and complete relevant paperwork to the customer service advisor.
* Ensure courtesy cars are clean, tidy and have fuel in them
* Hand paperwork to Reception for them to upload and update systems accordingly
* Keep the yard organised, tidy, clean and safe at all times
* Report any accidents, incidents to your Bodyshop Manager without delay.
* Confirm any courtesy car damage or cleanliness issues with reception team
* Occasionally carry out collecting and delivery of customers vehicles as scheduled, completing all relevant paperwork detailing claim and non-related damaged and collecting excess payments, ensuring that the customer is treated in a professional and efficient manner.
* To drive vehicles in a safe, lawful manner taking into account the weather and traffic conditions, reporting all faults with vehicles driven.
* Ensuring all vehicles are washed and vacuumed using the approved materials and equipment in order to present to the customer.
* Notify customer and reception when a delay is imminent.
* Moving vehicles for total losses to be collected or dropped off and ensuring they are positioned correctly and safely.
Skills and experience:
* Full driving licence with the correct classification to carry out duties
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills
* Interpersonal and communication skills should be excellent standard
* Attention to detail
* The right attitude to get the job done
* Time management at each booking is essential
