Kinect Recruitment is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team based in Harrogate. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional with at least 12 months of hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, or technical troubleshooting.
You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day IT operations, assisting with hardware and software setups, and contributing to broader IT projects. The role offers hands-on experience and development across a broad IT environment, with the opportunity to build on your existing skills and grow within the team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide first-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and basic networking issues
2. Log, manage, and resolve IT service tickets using an internal ticketing system
3. Assist with new employee setups: hardware provisioning, software installation, user access, and onboarding
4. Perform basic hardware installations, diagnostics, and repairs
5. Support IT infrastructure tasks including network patching, cabling, backups, and system health checks
6. Help maintain accurate IT documentation and inventory records
7. Shadow senior engineers to gain exposure to IT security practices and infrastructure management
