Legal Counsel
We are seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join the in-house legal team to take a leading role overseeing legal advice and support to its UK and global operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to build strong relationships with Senior Management and stakeholders across the business.
About the role and its responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities and work will include:
* drafting; reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. distribution agreements; IT/software agreements; marketing agreements);
* advising on compliance and regulatory matters;
* handling/managing contractual disputes;
* Mergers & Acquisitions, including due diligence, disclosure and the drafting/negotiation of purchase agreements;
* assist with the provision of internal training for the wider business on general legal matters such as GDPR
* liaise with and manage external legal counsel to assist on the matters above including IP agents to protect the Group’s international trademark and patent portfolio; and
* supporting with general queries.
Qualifications
* Qualified to practice law
* 2+ years' legal work experience in a range of commercial and corporate matters.
* 3 days office presence in Bristol essential
