You will be joining themercial team of a well‑established organisation delivering a wide range of highways maintenance works across the Birmingham region. Themercial function oversees financialernance and cost control for ongoing maintenance programmes, working closely with internal operational teams and a diverse network of supply‑chain partners. Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support themercial delivery of highways maintenance schemes, working closely alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for cost management, value engineering, estimating, managing valuations, negotiating and agreeing variations, handling subcontractor accounts and supporting thepletion of final accounts. You will also produce all required contractual and financial documentation and ensure fullpliance with NEC contract processes.
Your role will involve analysingmercial data for live maintenance schemes, monitoring spend, forecasting, and contributing to efficient and wellerned delivery of routine and reactive works across the network.
What you'll need to succeed
1. 1 Year of experience working on highways projects:
2. Strong NEC contract experience is essential.
3. A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
4. Confidence managing subcontractor accounts and supportingmercial duties across multiple schemes.
5. Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
6. Effectivemunication and stakeholder management abilities.
7. Available to start as soon as possible.
