This role ensures a safe, efficient, and high-performance environment across all buildings, workshops, and trackside operations—supporting both the engineering and racing divisions.

The ideal candidate has a robust background in facility operations—preferably within motorsports, automotive R&D, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing—and thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven setting. This position plays a vital role in safety compliance, sustainability, emergency management, and supporting the operational readiness of a brand-new Formula 1 team.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations & Maintenance

• Manage preventive and reactive maintenance for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life safety systems.

• Conduct regular facilities inspections and maintain CMMS systems to drive performance through data.

• Coordinate building security systems and emergency preparedness protocols.

Event & Race Support

• Manage facility readiness for test sessions, track events, garage setups, and VIP/hospitality logistics.

• Coordinate event-specific infrastructure, temporary facilities, and race weekend requirements in partnership with logistics teams.

Staff & Vendor Management

• Supervise and train a multidisciplinary team, including maintenance, security, custodial, and event personnel.

• Oversee contractors and service providers, ensuring adherence to scope, budgets, and quality standards.

Compliance & Safety

• Implement and enforce safety protocols per OSHA, FIA, and local regulations.

• Ensure all facilities remain compliant with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) laws and certifications.

• Lead emergency response planning and execution.

Capital Projects & Strategy

• Lead facility upgrades, expansions, and capital improvement initiatives.

• Develop long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with team growth and racing demands.

• Provide input on facility design for performance labs, simulators, and technical centers.

Budget & Resource Management

• Forecast and manage operational and capital budgets for multi-site operations.

• Track expenses, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective facility operations.

Stakeholder Communication

• Interface with team leadership, race engineers, logistics, and external partners to align facility operations with business and competition goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 8–10+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in high-performance, motorsports, or manufacturing environments.

• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, life safety).

• Proven leadership, organizational, and vendor management skills.

• Familiarity with CMMS systems, building automation, and facilities management software.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends or during international race events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing motorsports, clean room, R&D, or dyno testing environments.

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM), PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications.

• Background in planning and maintaining facility budgets.

• Understanding of Formula 1 technical operations and event timelines.

• Experience coordinating multi-site or international operations.

Core Competencies

• Project & budget management

• Communication & stakeholder engagement

• Safety compliance & emergency response

• Staff training & leadership

• Problem solving & decision-making
