Social Care Assistant
Moss Park is a nursing home in the Lochaber area, providing holistic person‑centred support to older adults who need long‑term care in a homely environment. A position has become available for enthusiastic care assistants to work in the home.
The role involves hands‑on care supporting residents to be as independent as possible. It is people‑centred and highly rewarding, with focus on activity and opportunities for residents to go out into the local community. You will learn about care delivery and planning, medication management, working within a close team, and developing communication skills.
It is an ideal position for anyone considering a career in care, with excellent staff development programmes and the potential to progress within the NHS.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands‑on care supporting residents to maintain independence.
* Support medication management and general well‑being of residents.
* Assist in care planning and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
* Encourage participation in activities and community outings.
* Maintain accurate documentation of care and progress.
Qualifications & Skills
* Commitment to person‑centred care and compassionate service.
* Ability to work as part of a close team in a nursing home setting.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programmes.
