Position: Warehouse Operator
Overview
The Warehouse Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the factory.
This position is responsible for the dispatch of all completed jobs across multiple presses throughout the day, ensuring all goods are securely packaged and prepared for shipment.
In addition, the role includes receiving all incoming goods, booking them into the system, and generating delivery notes and packaging labels for outgoing orders.
The Warehouse Operator is key to maintaining organisation, supporting production flow, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
A Typical Day
07:00 Start of Day
* Check in with the Supervisor to review all jobs due for dispatch.
* Identify priority orders and plan the workflow for the day.
* Prepare the packing area and ensure all required materials are available.
Morning (07:30 11:00)
1. Begin clearing finished jobs from operators desks to maintain production flow.
2. Perform quality control (QC) checks on completed jobs.
3. Pack goods securely, ensuring correct packaging for boxes or pallets.
4. Generate and apply delivery notes and shipping labels.
