HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

DAYS: START TIMES BETWEEN 04:00 – 08:00
£16.66 - £20.82 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire.

Rates of Pay
* 0600-1800 - £16.66 PER HOUR
* 1800-0600 - £20.82 PER HOUR
Day to Day Duties
* Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
* Curtainside work
* Make on time deliveries
* Communicate with the transport team
* Follow company policies and procedures
* Comply with driving rules and regulations
* Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Essential Skills
* Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
* Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
* Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
* Work in a professional manner
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots
Training
* You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme
* Industry related training and support throughout
