Job Description:

Are you a driven and experienced Trusts & Foundations Manager?
We are looking for a proactive, pragmatic person to lead our new Trusts & Foundations income strategy. In this key role, youll work closely with our Head of Development to create compelling grant applications, build meaningful relationships with funders and play a vital part in securing support for young adults with learning disabilities.
You'll need to be a persuasive writer with a strong track record in Trust fundraising, and be ready to hit the ground running.
Permanent role, £33,511 - £37,192 pro rata, per annum
3 days per week (at least 2 days each month in the office)

Purpose of the role
To be responsible for delivering our Trust & Foundations fundraising income strategy. The role will manage the Trusts and Foundations income pipeline, building strong relationships with funders, and providing exceptional grant stewardship in order to deliver the funds we need to achieve our ambitious goals.
Main responsibilities

* To prepare and write compelling and creative applications and take personal responsibility for the related income targets.
* Work closely with Head of Development and the Leadership team to identify projects and write innovative and persuasive proposals to secure financial support from Trusts and Foundations.
* To conduct prospect research activities to identify new Trusts and Foundation funders to support our work, and identify the most appropriate approaches to increase giving and secure multi-year gifts.
* Manage relationships from a portfolio of funders who have supported our work in the past identifying new funding opportunities for them as required.
* Forge close working relationships with the fundraising team and other departments to ensure that Trust fundraising is an integrated income stream that contributes to the charitys overall strategy.
* To monitor and manage the Trusts and Foundations pipeline recording all relevant information onto the ZoHo database.
* To monitor and manage the Trusts and Foundations fundraising budget and produce accurate reports, analysing performance against agreed key performance indicators.
* Build good working relations with trustees and key staff of Trusts and Foundations.
* Provide the highest level of donor care and stewardship for our Trusts and Foundations funders to ensure that they receive first class service.
* Keep abreast of news about funding opportunities / income streams from charitable Trusts and Foundations.
* To ensure that regular progress reports and updates are received by funders as and when required.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the offer presented by Elidyr Communities Trust and the issues faced by our Learners, Residents and families receiving support from the charity.
* To network externally to ensure that Trusts and Grant making bodies are kept aware of the funding requirements of Elidyr Communities Trust.
* Liaise closely with the marketing team on all relevant stories which might enhance fundraising and awareness of our fundraising and donors.
* To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Development.
* Attend relevant meetings, conferences and forums to increase funding opportunities available to the charity.
* To represent Elidyr Communities Trust at events and other fundraising activities as required.
