The Junior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring manufacturing projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to specification. The role encompasses client and supplier liaison, workshop coordination, health and safety oversight, and accurate project administration and documentation.
Reporting directly to the Director, this position offers a high level of autonomy and accountability across both project and workshop delivery.
Job Role
1. Project Management: Manage manufacturing projects from initial brief through to completion, overseeing timelines, approvals, and client expectations.
2. Workshop Coordination: Schedule and coordinate workshop activities, track project progress, ensure material availability, and liaise closely with workshop teams.
3. Client & Supplier Management: Act as a primary point of contact for manufacturing clients, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate quotes and procurement.
4. Administration & Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, approvals, cost tracking, and internal systems.
5. Quality & Problem Solving: Proactively identify issues, implement solutions, and ensure all projects meet quality and safety standards.
Skills and Experience
6. Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing project management or workshop-based project delivery
7. Strong understanding of woodwork, joinery, or bespoke manufacturing processes
8. Excellent organisational and administrative skills
9. Confident and professional in client- and supplier-facing environments
10. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
11. Practical, solutions-focused, and highly organised
12. Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities
13. Collaborative, accountable, and able to work autonomously
14. Hands-on experience in workshop or production environments
15. Experience in creative manufacturing or project management is desirable
16. Exposure to quoting, cost tracking, or supplier negotiations is advantageous
