Job Details

Salary: £39,862 - £41,771 per annum Plus 10% Market Plussage.

Hours per week: 37 hours.

Fixed term: 12 months.

Interview date: Friday 12 June 2026.


Position Overview

Join our HR case management team and play a pivotal role in addressing and resolving employee relations issues. Our HR case management teams are dedicated to providing professional HR advice and expertise to managers and schools, using a proactive approach to interpret employment law and internal policies.

As a Senior HR Case Adviser, your goal will be to expedite decision‑making and resolve cases efficiently, benefiting both the council and schools. You will provide expert advice on complex employee relations, support council changes, liaise with legal teams, mentor staff, communicate policy changes, and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective HR management and compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications

* CIPD Level 5 intermediate certificate in Human Resources.
* Extensive workforce experience.
* In‑depth knowledge of employment law and local government practices.
* Talent for influencing others, building relationships, and thriving in a dynamic environment.
