Job Title: Sales Engineer North East England
As a Sales Engineer in North East England, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances, and market trends.
You will develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and third-party channel partners. The incumbent is the primary contact for all customer-related technical assistance, product support, and promotion of company products, services, and goodwill.
Your Role:
1. Promote sales of new pumps, seals, seal systems, services, and repair work to existing and new customers by responding promptly to inquiries, analyzing customer needs, and identifying potential opportunities.
2. Drive bookings levels to meet or exceed assigned goals.
3. Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers to ensure appropriate service levels and call rates to achieve sales targets.
4. Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives to support organizational goals.
5. Serve as the primary contact for all customer dealings, addressing concerns related to proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, and warranty claims.
6. Educate customers on product features and uses using the company's marketing materials.
7. Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to meet customer needs.
8. Possess knowledge of the design and operational requirements of rotating pumps, mechanical seals, and related equipment.
9. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and business writing effectively.
10. Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
11. Demonstrate financial acumen, especially regarding return on investment, to support solution selling.
12. Work independently, efficiently, and communicate productively with team members.
Your Profile:
* Trade or engineering qualifications preferred.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience with rotating equipment.
* Experience in sales of rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals; training is available.
* Experience in selling to end users and the aftermarket is preferable.
* Possess excellent communication skills and professional conduct.
* Be team-oriented and focused.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and organization.
* Ability to work independently and autonomously.
* High level of technical expertise.
* Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
