Portfolio is proud to exclusively represent our award-winning, multinational HR & Employment Law services client in their search for a Litigation Executive, specialising in Employment Law. In this role, you will handle case preparation before Employment tribunals, working on behalf of business owners to assess tribunal matters, create court bundles, witness statements, etc. You must be educated to LLb level, with Employment Law knowledge and Litigation experience. In return, you will gain valuable knowledge of Employment Law across various industries and excellent progression opportunities. This role also supports SQL qualification, counting towards legal work experience.
Job Purpose
To assist our diverse client base with Employment Tribunal matters, including advising on case merits, drafting responses, exchanging witness statements, and conducting preliminary hearings via telephone.

We seek a bright, confident, legally qualified individual, preferably with employment law experience, to join a dynamic team responsible for all aspects of case preparation. The ideal candidate will enjoy managing a caseload in a fast-paced yet supportive environment, focusing on excellent client service, a strong commercial approach, and possessing excellent communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Assess Tribunal and early conciliation matters
2. Draft pleadings, witness statements, and relevant applications
3. Manage document disclosure and bundle creation
4. Communicate with Tribunals, Claimants’ representatives, clients, and ACAS
5. Advise on case prospects and aim for commercially favourable settlements
6. Conduct preliminary hearings by telephone
What You Bring to the Team
1. Law degree (or GDL) with litigation experience and/or LPC/BPTC qualification
2. Strong commitment to supporting clients through challenging times
3. Positive attitude towards workload and teamwork
4. Genuine passion for employment law and attention to detail
