About the service
The Digital Systems Team based within the Place, Infrastructure, and Economic Development Directorate plays a key role in supporting and delivering digital projects, systems, and business change across the department which is home to a wide range of teams including frontline services such as Highways, Recycling and Waste Management, Grounds & Street Cleansing and Parking.
About the job
We are looking for a committed individual with excellent IT & Project Management skills to join the team to help deliver a range of digital projects and system implementations across the Directorate. This role will be offered on a two-year fixed term contract and will primarily lead the implementation of a new digital solution for our Waste Services Team.
The transformation required will have significant complexity and challenge involved. You will engage with stakeholders across the Council and work closely with senior managers to deliver the required change and ensure comprehensive project reporting to the relevant project boards.
Compliance will also form a key part of the role, with the successful candidate ensuring that the correct processes and procedures are followed in relation to contract procedures rules, security, financials, and health and safety.
What we are looking for from you:
Experience of managing IT/Digital related projects.
Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to adapt well to changing situations whilst continuously delivering high quality services.
To be confident to assist and drive change in a team within a dynamic work environment to deliver results.
Competent in the use of project planning tools and software to develop detailed project plans.
