We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee daily business activities and improve operational efficiency across our client's organisation. Ideally, you will have experience in both Transport and Warehousing. Staffline is recruiting an Operations Manager in Telford.
The rate of pay is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum. This is a full-time permanent role working fixed day shifts. Hours of work: 9am to 5:30pm.
Your Time at Work
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring processes run smoothly, resources are used effectively, and strategic objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure business processes are efficient and effective
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives
* Lead, mentor, and develop team members across multiple departments
* Analyse performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with senior leadership to support business strategy
* Ensure compliance with UK regulations, including health and safety standards
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
Requirements
* Proven experience in logistics services
* Hold CPC
* Working knowledge of the highway code and EU tachograph requirements
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Financial acumen with experience managing budgets
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in operational systems and Microsoft Office
