Endoscopy is a fast moving environment to work in, with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures being performed on all sites; no 2 days are the same! Endoscopy experience is an advantage although not essential as a full training programme will be provided which includes 4 weeks supernumerary, a comprehensive workbook and a named supervisor. Successful applicants will be required to participate in cross site working and the 24 hour on call GI bleed service that we provide. Main duties Provide pre, mid and post procedure care and monitoring to patients attending for endoscopic procedures. Assist the endoscopist in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Give relevant, evidence-based information and advice to patients, relatives and carers. Provide clinical supervision and support to staff and students. Participate in the 24-hour on call rota for upper GI bleeds Uphold the Values and Behaviours of MYTT Participate in the maintenance of accreditation with the Joint Advisory Group for Endoscopy.
