We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Hendre Quarry, Hendre, Mold, Flintshire. This is accessible from Connah's Quay, Flint, Rhyl, Holywell, Wrexham, Chester, Corwen and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
The role of Multi Skilled Operative is part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations, as Multi Skilled Operative you will specifically focus on operational tasks including:
1. Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery (including dumpers and loading shovels)
2. Day to day maintenance of the plant,maintainingthe highest levels of housekeeping
3. Training and operation on static plant operations to help drive plantoptimisation
4. Mixing asphalt to specification
5. Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers getgood qualitymaterial and on-time deliveries
6. Ensuring that Plant availability ismaximised
7. Weighbridge duties
8. Loading shovel (mobile Plant)
9. Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
10. Maintaining and driving a culture of zero harm andbehaviouralsafety
11. Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the site
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates for the role Multi Skilled Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregates environment or an Industrial or Factory environment as an operative or labourer. You will also possessgood communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.
As part of an operational team, the ideal candidate for the role of Multi Skilled Operative will also:
12. Have knowledge of the industry, Plant and ideally of quarrying
13. Previousexperience in mobile Plant operations preferred
14. Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operative team
15. Beself motivatedand able to motivate other colleagues in the team
16. Have knowledge of Risk Assessments within role of operative
17. Have knowledge of SSOW (HIRA) and Permit systems (preferred but not essential)
18. Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets,goalsand standards
19. Good timekeeping – flexible as to the Units requirements
20. Good communicationskills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
21. Full UK DrivingLicence
22. Be IT literate
23. Shovel License – desirable
