Job Summary
As a Fire Sprinkler Foreman, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding lives through the precise installation of fire sprinkler systems across a diverse range of construction projects. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, as your work directly impacts safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Compliance: Lead the installation of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring all work meets NFPA13 specifications and adheres to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Interpretation & Execution: Analyze work specifications and fire codes to ensure seamless integration into project plans, while making necessary design adjustments on-site, to ensure that work passes the fire inspection.
Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor apprentices, fostering their growth and ensuring they adhere to best practices.
Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between design teams and on-site crews, communicating changes and ensuring the project aligns with both design and safety requirements.
Safety & Procedures: Maintain a rigorous adherence to company safety policies and workplace procedures, while continuously pursuing education and training to improve knowledge, address issues, and prioritize both team well-being and project success.
Qualifications
1. 5+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience
2. Proficient in NFPA13 regulations and Cal Fire fitter certified
3. Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and fire codes
4. Competent in safely operating pipe threading machines and various mechanical tools
5. Strong documentation skills (timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports)
6. Effective communication with clients and team members
7. Problem-solving abilities with experience in managing change orders
8. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to varying work conditions
9. Commitment to safety practices in all environments
10. High school diploma or GED and a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
