About Core Plus Tuition
Core Plus Tuition is a values-driven tuition business supporting students across North Oxfordshire and beyond.
We believe education is about more than grades - it's about helping every student grow in confidence, independence, and self-belief.
We provide one-to-one and small group tuition both in-person and online. Our tutors are trusted professionals who share our commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where students can thrive.
About the Role
We're looking for passionate, adaptable tutors to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to young people's lives while enjoying flexible, rewarding work that fits around your schedule.
As a Core Plus tutor, you'll work with students from a range of ages and abilities, delivering tailored lessons that build understanding and confidence.
You'll plan your own sessions, adapt to individual needs, and use your creativity to bring learning to life - no set scheme of work, just meaningful, personalised teaching.
What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you're someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar)
* Is confident in their subject knowledge (English, Maths or Science)
* Can plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
* Is calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with students
* Communicates clearly and professionally with students and families
* Is adaptable and resourceful — able to think on your feet and adjust to different learning styles
* Believes education should develop the whole person, not just academic results
Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from teaching assistants, trainee teachers, university students and professionals with a passion for their subject.
What We Offer
* Flexible hours to fit around your life
* A supportive, friendly team who value independence and trust you to do what you do best
* No unpaid admin - we handle client communication, scheduling and payments
* A chance to make a genuine difference to young people's confidence and outlook
* Long-term student relationships that are rewarding and fulfilling
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Safeguarding training (can be completed before starting)
* Relevant qualifications and/or strong subject expertise
* Professional Indemnity insurance (and Public Liability for in-person tutors)
* UK right to work and ability to travel to Banbury and surrounding areas
