About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This role is key to ensuring the successful financial management of construction projects from initial cost estimation through to final accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost control and value for money. * Prepare and analyse cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documents. * Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes. * Liaise with clients, project managers, site teams, and design professionals to monitor progress and financial performance. * Assess variations, manage interim valuations, and prepare final accounts. * Provide accurate cost forecasting, risk analysis, and reporting to senior management. * Ensure all commercial processes comply with company procedures and contractual obligations. Key Skills * Excellent organisational and time management abilities. * Strong attention to detail with exceptional numerical and analytical skills. * Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels. * Commercially astute with a solid understanding of construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC). * Competent in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software (experience with Sage or similar is desirable). * Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry (subcontracting experience highly advantageous). * Demonstrable success in managing costs across multiple projects.
