As a Working Denbighshire Placement Officer, you will provide enhanced employment-focused support to participants on work placements. Your role involves mentoring and coaching individuals, empowering them to identify and overcome barriers to training and employment. You will work within the Employer Engagement Team to facilitate the development and implementation of a support continuum, enable participants to take positive steps towards employment, and develop their employability skills. You will support the overarching aim of helping individuals toward sustained employment, ultimately lifting them out of poverty.
Responsibilities include risk assessment, performance monitoring, maintaining effective communication with employers, and providing tailored support to participants to achieve their placement goals.
You are a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of how poverty and social disadvantage impact people's lives. You have experience in providing support and mentoring, particularly to individuals facing multiple barriers to employment. You possess a non-judgmental attitude and demonstrate empathy, confidentiality, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. You are capable of building positive working relationships with a diverse range of participants and stakeholders. Self-motivated and capable of both independent and team work, you approach challenges with a positive attitude, and continually seek to develop new skills and abilities.
