About the role:

Are you an organised, discreet, and highly motivated professional looking to make a real difference in public service? This is a rare opportunity to join the small, dedicated team of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in delivering their strategic priorities and public duties. This is a pivotal role requiring high levels of confidentiality, excellent judgement and strong administrative expertise.

You will need proven experience in a senior administrative or executive assistant role and have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity and ability to prioritise effectively and work independently.

Key Recruitment Dates

Step 1:
All applications submitted for shortlisting will be reviewed on
Tuesday 4th November 2025.

Step 2:
Candidates successful at Step 1 will be invited to complete an assessment and have an informal face-to-face conversation about the role. These will both take place on
Monday 17th November 2025.
The assessment will consist of a work-based written exercise.

Step 3:
Candidates successful at Step 2 will be invited for a face-to-face structured interview on
Thursday 20th November 2025
