Shape the Future of a Premium Global Gallery Brand
Clarendon Fine Art is the world's leading gallery group in modern and contemporary art. For over 30 years, we have redefined how art is experienced and collected, representing celebrated contemporary artists alongside iconic 20th Century masters.
With 80+ galleries across the UK and at sea — and plans to exceed 100 locations including US expansion — we are entering an ambitious phase of growth. Our galleries are immersive, design-led environments where brand, client experience and commercial performance intersect.
We are seeking a commercially astute, strategically minded Head of Property to lead and optimise our estate as a driver of growth.
The Opportunity
A high-impact leadership role reporting to the CFO with Executive and Board exposure. You will own and evolve the Group Property Strategy, ensuring the estate supports revenue growth, strengthens brand presence, protects margin and enables long-term scalability.
This role combines strategic portfolio planning with hands-on negotiation, development and asset optimisation — shaping a premium estate at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Estate Leadership
Develop and deliver the Group Property Strategy aligned to business growth
Advise Executive and Board on portfolio performance, risk and opportunity
Use data and market insight to guide location planning and asset optimisation
Portfolio & Lease Management
Lead lease negotiations, renewals, re-gears, rent reviews and exits (UK and international)
Protect commercial interests while maintaining brand integrity and flexibility
Drive cost efficiency without compromising client experience
Expansion & Development
Identify and evaluate new gallery opportunities (UK & international)
Lead openings, relocations and selective closures
Partner with Retail, Finance and Design on right location, size and cost
Manage external consultants and agents to deliver on time and budget
Capital Investment & Brand Standards
Oversee refits, refreshes and estate investment planning
Ensure all spaces reflect Clarendon's premium positioning
Balance aesthetic excellence with financial discipline
Facilities, Compliance & Risk
Lead Facilities, Projects and Health & Safety
Ensure statutory compliance and proactive risk management
Financial & Commercial Ownership
Own OPEX and CAPEX budgets
Partner with Finance on forecasting, reporting and metrics
Translate estate performance into clear commercial insight

Experience driving business growth through portfolio strategy
Deep knowledge of UK property law and leasing structures
Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, leisure or premium brands (highly desirable)
International expansion exposure, particularly US (advantageous)

How You'll Succeed
You are:
Strategically sharp and operationally credible
Commercially grounded and financially literate
Decisive and calm under pressure
Influential, pragmatic and solutions-focused
Passionate about how physical space shapes brand, experience and sales
Why Join Clarendon?
Shape a premium, design-led estate at scale
Influence growth, investment and strategy
Work alongside an ambitious Executive team
Join a brand where environment, experience and performance truly matter
