Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the planning team on a diverse range of infrastructure projects
2. Preparing consent applications and managing specific aspects of projects
3. Drafting reports and engaging with clients and key stakeholders
4. Leading the planning consenting process from feasibility through to implementation
5. Collaborating with engineers, environmental teams, and communication specialists
6. Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with client objectives and timescales
7. Managing smaller projects independently
Job Requirements:
8. Degree and/or masters in Town Planning and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)
9. Good knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policy
10. Experience in producing outputs to support infrastructure consenting or planning policy
11. Ability to develop working relationships with internal and external town planners
12. Proficiency in articulating complex issues, writing reports, and presenting effectively
13. Proven project management skills with a successful record in planning and project delivery
14. Commercial and financial management skills applicable to profitable project management
15. Experience in business development and successfully bidding for work
