Do you thrive in a dynamic, business-facing role where every day brings new conversations and new wins?

If so, this is your chance to make a real impact—supporting students into high-quality work placements while strengthening the workforce pipeline for employers across the region.

About the Role

As a Work Experience Recruitment Officer, you’ll be the face of Inspire Education Group (IEG) within the business community—finding, securing, and nurturing employer partnerships that transform students’ futures.

You will actively source new work placement opportunities through research, outreach, networking, and employer engagement. Every relationship you build directly benefits our learners and strengthens the college’s position as a leading skills provider.

This is a perfect role for someone who enjoys sales, business development, and meaningful community impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Proactively research, contact, and onboard new employers to secure high-quality student placements.
2. Generate your own business leads through cold-calling, networking, marketing activity and referrals.
3. Build strong, lasting relationships as the main point of contact for employers.
4. Conduct organisational needs analyses to identify opportunities that support employer growth and student development.
5. Promote the full range of employer solutions including apprenticeships, training, and industry placements.
6. Attend college and employer events to champion work experience and engage new partners.
7. Complete all placement administration, ensuring CRM systems are kept accurate and up to date.
8. Conduct employer health and safety checks in line with policy and legislation.
9. Work closely with the Work Experience Recruitment Team Leader to achieve KPIs and engagement targets.
10. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve placement issues quickly and professionally.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

11. Experience in a proactive, customer-facing or sales role
12. Proven success generating your own business leads
13. Strong planning, organisation, and administrative skills
14. Excellent communication—confident, professional, and engaging
15. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
16. Confident with IT systems, including CRM platforms and Microsoft/Google applications
17. Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
18. A valid driving licence and willingness to use your own vehicle for business travel

Desirable:

19. Experience in education, employer engagement, or work placement coordination
20. Level 3 qualification
21. IAG experience or qualification

Why Join IEG?
