Casual Driver 2 – Kirkconnel ARC
£12.96 Per hour
The Learning Disability Service provided by Dumfries and Galloway's Health & Social Care Partnership supports young people and adults who have a range of needs including learning/ physical disabilities and autism spectrum conditions.
Responsibilities
* As a Casual Driver you would be required to convey service users to and from Kirkconnel Activity & Resource Centre (ARC).
* Ensure the comfort, security and safety of service users being transported.
* Carry out other associated duties as required.
Requirements and Training
* This post is casual and covers annual leave and sickness.
* You will be required to complete mandatory CPI Safety Intervention Training, Manual Handling Training, Epilepsy Training, MIDAS, and Driver CPC training, as well as the Councilormerly online mandatory courses.
* Applicants are required to have a D1 entitlement on their current driving licence.
Regulated Work
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check.
