We’re supporting a fast‑paced organisation in the transport sector with the appointment of a Senior HRBP – OD & Change to lead the final, critical phase of a major organisational design programme.
This is a high‑impact, delivery‑focused role for a senior HR professional with strong organisational design expertise, capable of advising directors, coaching People Partners, and embedding structural change at pace.
The Role
You will take full ownership of Phase 2 of a business‑wide OD programme – delivering new structures, ways of working, consultation activity, and change plans. Working closely with the Director of People & Culture, you’ll form a “mini project team” with existing People Partners, guiding them while ensuring the programme lands effectively across the organisation.
Expect real operational complexity, exposure to multiple business streams, and autonomy to make decisions that matter. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role where your expertise directly shapes the organisation’s future.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead OD workstreams from design to delivery, including roles, reporting lines, job evaluation inputs, and structural changes
* Coach and support People Partners in delivering robust, compliant consultations
* Develop and implement change and communication plans that resonate across operational teams
* Partner with senior leaders to embed new ways of working and support transition readiness
* Ensure governance, compliance, and documentation are maintained at every stage
* Align OD outputs with HR systems and processes for future workforce stability
What We’re Looking For
Must‑Haves
* Senior HRBP or OD specialist with 5+ years’ experience
* Proven track record delivering 2+ major OD, TOM, or transformation programmes
* Deep knowledge of UK employment law and consultation processes
* CIPD Level 7 preferred (Level 5+ considered with significant experience)
* Autonomous, proactive, calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills
Nice‑to‑Haves
* Experience in operational, non‑corporate environments (transport, logistics, aviation, hospitality, manufacturing)
* Union experience and employee relations coaching experience
