Production Team Leader - Fresh Food Manufacturing
Location: Basildon
Shift pattern: 10:30am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
A growing fresh food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering nutritious, high-quality food for children.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a continuous improvement mindset who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.
The Role
* Lead and manage daily production operations
* Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained
* Drive operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
* Manage and develop production teams and shift leaders
* Align production capacity with customer demand and ingredient supply
* Promote a strong health & safety culture
About you
* 5+ years’ management experience in FMCG food manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and BRC standards
* Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance
* Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills
* Experience with Excel and ERP/planning systems
* HACCP / Food Safety certification
