Job Description
3. Identify, pursue, and secure new revenue opportunities across the region.
4. Deliver tailored presentations to prospective customers to win business.
5. Build a healthy pipeline through networking, prospecting, and lead generation.
6. Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager to develop territory sales plans.
7. Conduct site surveys and gather technical information for accurate quotations.
8. Prepare compliant technical quotes using internal pricing tools.
9. Meet or exceed activity metrics, including calls, meetings, quotes, and closed deals.
10. Negotiate and close sales, ensuring smooth handover to operational teams.
11. Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
12. Uphold safety standards and work with correct PPE at all times.
13. Demonstrate behaviours aligned with core values including professionalism, customer focus, innovation, respect, and simplicity.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Development Manager should have:
14. Proven experience in regional sales or national account management.
15. Strong relationship‑builder with excellent communication skills.
16. Commercially aware with the ability to understand customer needs and market trends.
17. Results‑driven, target‑focused, and motivated to deliver growth.
18. Knowledge of the fire safety industry and relevant standards (desirable but not essential).
19. Confident using CRM systems and digital tools.
20. Holds a full UK driving licence.
21. Relevant sales or marketing qualifications (ISM, APS, CIM) are an advantage.
