Subject specialists for English, Maths and Science are highly sought after.\n\nAcademic Mentor - the school:\n\n* A well-established and dynamic 11-18 school in Croydon\n* Committed to providing high-quality education and pastoral care\n* Dedicated and diverse team of educators working collaboratively\n* Focused on empowering students to achieve their best academically, socially, and emotionally\n* Offers a range of extra-curricular opportunities\n* Supportive environment where both students and staff thrive\n\nAcademic Mentor - key responsibilities:\n\n* Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students, particularly those who may need extra help in their studies\n* Assist students with exam preparation, homework, and coursework\n* Help students develop effective study strategies and improve their organisation skills\n* Build strong relationships with students to offer guidance and encouragement\n* Work closely with teachers to monitor and track students' progress\n* Support students in developing their confidence and motivation to succeed\n\nAcademic Mentor - requirements:\n\n* 2:1 or above in a core subject from a top UK university\n* Tutoring experience across multiple subject areas is desirable\n* Excellent communication skills\n* Reliability, motivation and enthusiasm for learning\n* Receptive to feedback and coaching\n* Willingness to obtain a DBS\n\nHow to apply:\n\nIf this Academic Mentor role sounds like something you would be interested in, please don't hesitate to apply via this advert.
