Our venues are known for showcasing national and internationally recognised talent in London. As Senior Sales & Events Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing all aspects of event planning and execution for our venues. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement sales strategies, build relationships with clients, and create events that align with our brand identity.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Sales & Event management within the hospitality industry. They must understand the challenges and opportunities that come with working in a small business environment and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.What you’ll be responsible for:Developing and implementing Sales Strategies to drive revenueBuilding and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfactionOverseeing the planning and execution of events, including corporate events, private parties, and brand sponsorshipsMonitoring industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities for growth whilst staying competitiveManaging the Corporate Event team to ensure the department exceeds targetsTaking lead on higher spend and complex event enquiries – including carrying out site visits and meeting & greeting clients on event daysContinually monitoring sales performance and identifying gaps in the diary Analysing current market trends and competitors to identify new event opportunities Implementing proactive sales and marketing initiativesDiary and yield management to maximise sales and profit at very opportunity Maintaining an excellent understanding of event contractsBringing a black book of contacts to drive revenueWorking alongside the Venue Manager and Head of Operations to continually monitor and review team processes to ensure a seamless event journeyAnalysing existing data and developing new to increase sales Conducting follow up research with clients with the aim of securing repeat or new business for the wider portfolioLeading weekly reports to the directors to include financial forecasting and event feedbackWorking with the Directors to write and agree the annual forecastWorking with the Directors to plan and deliver the annual sales strategy and budgetReviewing and developing new and existing marketing and sales tools alongside the Marketing Team – including brochures, social media and website developmentMaintaining good relationships with preferred suppliers whilst reviewing their commercial valueLeading the recruitment for any Event & Sales roles required within the teamLeading performance management and development of direct reports, identifying training needs and guiding team development.Leading on the event P&L, making sure all figures are reported accurately whilst protecting our marginYou’ll need to have:At least 4 years experience in managing an event sales team, maximising sales and achieving targets in similar venuesExperience of creating a successful sales strategy which includes key account management and business developmentExceptional commercial acumen demonstrated through the alignment of business mission, strategies and objectives.Experience of managing budgets and financial reportingA head for multi-tasking to manage various tasks and eventsWorking knowledge of the London venue market and key venue finding agentsExcellent communication skills with strong client-facing skillsThe ability to work to short turnaround times and work with minimal supervisionAbility to work with clients on all levels, including demanding and complex clientsWhat is on offer:£35k - £40k salary + commission20 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHybrid working, 4 days in the office and 1 day from homePeoples Pension employer contribution of 3%Fun and inclusive working environmentStaff parties & team building activities
