Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Support the cooking process by preparing various dishes according to established recipes and guidelines.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
* Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, reporting any issues to the kitchen manager.
* Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
* Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is essential.
* Culinary experience is an advantage, particularly in high-volume settings.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
