Minimum requirements include a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Design, or a related STEM field such as Science, Technology, Maths, or Engineering.

Job title: Graduate Submarines Human Factors Engineer
Location: Barrow (Cumbria). We offer relocation support packages for eligible candidates.
We support hybrid and flexible working arrangements; however, attendance at the site up to 5 days per week is expected.
Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with submariners, operators, and engineers to understand design challenges.
* Assessing workload and situation awareness to optimize operator performance.
* Planning and conducting user trials to evaluate and improve design and user interaction.
* Developing and understanding Human-Computer Interaction.
* Assessing Human-Machine Interfaces.
* Using human body measurements and working with 3D CAD tools, immersive VR, and full-scale mock-ups for spatial layout design.
* Providing human reliability analysis and support for site safety cases.
