We're looking for a Marketing Copywriter to join the
Harper Adams University
Communications team on a three-month temporary* contract.
In this role, you'll bring the University's stories to life by producing engaging blogs, student case studies, social media posts, and updates to our website. You'll also play a part in shaping advertising campaigns, ensuring our messages are clear, creative and compelling.
You'll be working alongside a supportive team of specialists – including design and creative, corporate communications and multimedia colleagues – guided by the Head of Communications. Together, you'll deliver content that celebrates our community and helps us reach new audiences.
We're looking for someone who:
* Writes with creativity, accuracy and attention to detail
* Can adapt their style for different audiences and platforms
* Enjoys collaborating as part of a busy, friendly team
* Has experience of managing website content (desirable)

Duties and responsibilities:
* Research, draft and edit clear, accurate and engaging written content for a variety of audiences.
* Produce blogs, student case studies and social media posts that highlight the University's strengths, values and achievements.
* Update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and alignment with brand and style guidelines.
* Contribute copywriting expertise to the development of advertising campaigns, ensuring messages are compelling and consistent across channels.
* Work collaboratively with the Head of Communications, and with colleagues in design and creative, corporate communications and multimedia content, to deliver integrated campaigns and content.
Adapt content for different platforms, ensuring effectiveness, clarity and audience relevance.
Skills and experience:
* Experience in copywriting, journalism or content creation.
* Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences through a range of digital and print channels.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines.
* Collaborative and professional approach to team working.
Desirable:
* GA4 analytics
* CRM email campaigning
* SLR Photography (training can be provided)
* Experience of working with content management systems to update and maintain website content (training can be provided)
Location:
Edgmond Campus, Telford.
*for the right candidate - subject to performance - there could be an opportunity to move into a permanent position after the initial temporary assignment.
