Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Joinery (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Experience working in domestic properties, ideally within housing (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to carry out basic plumbing, tiling and patch plastering to support first‑time fixes and value for money
- Customer‑focused approach with pride in delivering high‑quality work
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and support colleagues
- Reliable, professional and committed to safe working practices
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and teams
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Over 21 years of age (or under 21 with 2 years experience) and completion of an online driver monitoring assessment prior to starting; those under 21 must also complete an additional in‑vehicle assessment funded by Great Places
- Willingness to complete all required training, toolbox talks and e‑learning modules
Working Pattern
39 hours per week – 8:00am‑4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am‑3:30pm Friday. Out‑of‑hours cover in line with rota with out‑of‑hours payment and paid overtime opportunities available (subject to business need).

What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out all aspects of joinery, including repairing UPVC windows, repairing UPVC/composite doors, replacing double glazed units and overhauling kitchens
- Deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance work, achieving first‑time fixes through accurate diagnosis and effective multi‑trade working
- Attend and complete all required training, toolbox talks and e‑learning modules
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with customers, colleagues and local stakeholders
- Carry out work safely and professionally, ensuring customers’ homes are left clean and secure
- Use PDA/mobile technology to receive, update and manage repair jobs efficiently
- Produce accurate records, including before‑and‑after photographs and detailed job notes
