We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Learning Support Mentor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) who may find the demands of school life challenging. Working closely with the SENDCo, you will play a key role in managing and developing our Learning Support Hub. You will support pupils to re-engage with learning, promote independence, and ensure that every student feels included in all aspects of school life.
Salary: Grade 7, Point 8-14: Actual salary will be based on working hours and scale point. (The salary details shown above are calculated on working a 32.5 hour week)
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time or Full-Time hours considered, 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days)
Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day running of the Learning Support Hub.
* Develop and deliver tailored programmes for pupils with SEMH and C&L needs.
* Act as a key adult and role model for pupils attached to the Hub.
* Support the identification of pupils for alternative learning pathways.
* Provide expert SEN guidance to teachers and colleagues.
* Liaise with parents and professional agencies to support pupils’ needs.
* Promote a calm, purposeful, and supportive learning environment.
* Mentor, support, and help train Learning Support staff.
