P6 Planner | Berkshire | 18-Month Contract | £480 per day (Inside IR35)
We are currently seeking an experienced P6 Planner to join a high-profile programme in Berkshire on an 18-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive planning professional with strong Primavera P6 expertise to play a key role in delivering integrated programme planning and project controls support within a complex, highly regulated environment.
As the P6 Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), supporting programme delivery through robust planning, schedule integrity, Earned Value Management (EVM), and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and maintain the complete planning capability across the programme through effective management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
* Provide expert Planning and Earned Value Management (EVM) support to internal project teams
* Produce accurate and timely schedule forecasts to support programme decision-making
* Conduct schedule analysis, including critical path analysis and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) reporting
* Support Task Managers with business rhythms, network analysis, reporting, and programme communications
* Lead planning meetings and actively promote the value and benefits of effective scheduling across project teams
* Support long-range operational integrated programme planning activities
* Assist with the continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures, tools, templates, and EVMS methodologies
* Build strong working relationships with Project Managers, engineers, scientists, and key programme stakeholders
* Ensure high standards across safety, quality, security, and environmental compliance
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience using Primavera P6
* Proven background in Project Controls Planning and Earned Value Management
* Strong understanding of planning fundamentals and critical path analysis
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience facilitating meetings and driving planning best practices across programmes/projects
* Ability to demonstrate examples of adding measurable value to projects or programmes
* Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and lead planning activities effectively
Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the nature of the programme, candidates must be eligible to undergo UK Security Clearance.
Applicants must:
* Be a British Citizen
* Have resided continuously in the UK for the past 10 years
