Area Sales Manager - Automatic Doors
Location: Hybrid (Home Office & Field-Based, covering the south)

Our client is a leader in providing advanced, automatic door solutions, offering innovative products and services designed to enhance safety, convenience, and energy efficiency. They are looking for a driven and results-focused Area Sales Manager to join their expanding team and contribute to their continued success.
Job Overview:
As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition within the automatic door sector. This role will primarily involve seeking out and securing new clients, growing their existing portfolio, and hitting a revenue target annually. You will report directly to senior management and will have the opportunity to significantly impact the company's growth and market share in your designated region.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Achievement: Drive revenue growth by securing new business and expanding the customer base.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Building: Actively prospect for new clients, develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and manage the sales pipeline effectively.

Client Visits: Attend client meetings, site visits, and presentations as frequently as possible. The role is focused on securing new business, so client interaction and relationship-building are critical.

Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts. Provide regular updates to senior management on performance against targets.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
Sales Experience: Extensive experience in sales, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets. Previous team management experience is not required for this role.

Industry Experience: Candidates must currently be working within the door industry. We will not consider candidates from outside of this sector.

Sales Background: A strong background in technical sales, ideally within related sectors such as building materials, commercial construction, or architectural solutions, may be considered, provided there is existing experience with automatic door systems or similar technical products.

Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a hybrid role, balancing office work with field-based activities.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and present complex technical solutions clearly.

Commission Structure

Probation Period: 6 months

Hybrid Working: The role is predominantly home-office based with travel required for client meetings and new business acquisition.
