There is an exciting opportunity to join UHCW within our Inpatient Surgical team, which is a dynamic team with multiple areas of interest, including:
* Vascular
* Head and Neck
* Severe Intestinal Failure
* Gynae
* General Surgery (including Enhanced Care Unit)
UHCW is involved in trials for improved patient care and surgical techniques, with scope for an Acute rotation within the inpatient service.
We consider a 5-6 year development plan for the right candidate, with a 6-month development program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnoses and complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centered practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
* Support the learning and development of students and staff.
* Develop clinical skills and knowledge in areas linked with patient cohorts (e.g., cognition, specific clinical conditions, prehabilitation/acute rehabilitation).
* Help expand the occupational therapy service within Surgery.
* Participate in 7-day working patterns as required.
