Project Planners SC and DV – Defence Digital Infrastructure Programme MOD | Private Cloud | Contract | Hybrid (UK Clearance Required) Hybrid, Corsham (2–3 Days/Week) Rate: £500–£550/Day (Inside IR35) Type: Full-Time Contract We’re supporting a fast-growing SME delivering a critical Defence Digital infrastructure programme within the MOD. As the Fixed Connectivity workstream enters its build phase, we’re seeking a skilled Project Planners to shape and drive the end-to-end planning function across a complex, multi-supplier environment. This is a high-impact role focused on establishing a unified planning framework, enabling delivery confidence, and supporting senior decision-making across Private Cloud Delivery. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain a single, authoritative plan for all Fixed Connectivity activities Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions with technical and delivery stakeholders Build and manage detailed, resource-loaded schedules with clear dependencies and assumptions Conduct schedule health checks, performance tracking, and risk-impact reviews Maintain baseline tracking and produce variance and critical path analyses Integrate mitigation planning and risk controls into the master schedule Support monthly performance reporting and executive governance forums (POL) Produce reporting and narrative for senior leadership and programme assurance Essential Skills & Experience Extensive planning experience within Defence, MOD, or secure government environments Proficiency with planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) Strong grasp of risk-based scheduling, dependency management, and variance reporting Comfortable working across hybrid delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe) Skilled in engaging technical teams, risk leads, and commercial/governance stakeholders Demonstrated experience with IMS, Plan on a Page, and executive-level reporting Desirable Understanding of Defence Digital operating models (e.g. PCR/SPR, HMT Green Book) Exposure to infrastructure/cloud programmes in secure environments Planning qualifications (e.g. PPM, P3O, MSP)
