Job Introduction
Pentagon Motor Group are recruiting for a LCV Accountant to cover and support the Accounting Function of our Pentagon LCV Dealerships. Using your theoretical and practical Motor Trade accounting experience, you'll provide a core supporting accountancy and reporting functionality.
This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to develop your existing accounting skills, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance teams across the Motor Group.

What Will You Be Doing?
As the LCV Accountant with Pentagon Motor Group your main role and responsibilities will include;
12. Consolidating and analysing weekly business unit forecasts and trends to provide sound advice to the Brand Director
13. Ensuring the accuracy of financial information reported to head office within company deadlines.
14. Providing leadership to the Accounts Teams across multiple sites
15. Managing the completion of Management Accounts, Budget Holder and other financial reports and financial performance indicators for the Group in accordance with agreed timescales.
16. Facilitating the production of robust budgets and forecasts in line with Company requirements and mindful of market trends
17. Assisting with the preparation of the annual financial business plan.
18. Understanding and ensuring accuracy of all Compliance, VAT, Tax Returns, Payroll Administration and Employee costs and Benefits
19. Ensuring all Credit Control, Creditors and Debtors follow company protocol inline with Company KPI's and Business Risk Areas
Who Are We Looking for?
The ideal candidate will be an experienced onsite Accountant from an Automotive Background, with a proven, successful track record in delivering excellence. This position requires the successful person to be hands on and task focused, with strong leadership skills and up-to-date knowledge and awareness of accountancy practices in the Motor Trade.
You will need to have hands-on/practical experience in:
20. Working on and finalising annual budgets
21. Completing year-end audits
22. Month end accounting
23. Financial control systems
24. Managing a team
25. Processing payroll information
26. Providing support to the Admin and Accounts team including their personal development.
You will also be part qualified in ACCA or CIMA as a minimum and have experience in the Motor Trade industry.
Experience in using Kerridge and with the Vauxhall Brand is a distinct advantage for this role.
