An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified or newly qualified registered nurse to join the Crisis Centre Lister. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative person to work within the team, an integral part of the Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment (CRHTT) service in the North and East of Hertfordshire. The Crisis Centre supports service users experiencing an episode of acute mental ill health, to help prevent a crisis from deteriorating, offering practical support, providing therapeutic interventions as part of the treatment plan for individuals using the local CRHTTs. Working within the multi-disciplinary CRHTTs, the aim of the service is to provide home treatment as an alternative to inpatient admission. The team embraces a person-centred approach, and a recovery based philosophy. Promoting resilience & crisis prevention, focusing on the whole person in the context in which they live. The demands of the centre mean that you must be versatile and flexible to meet the needs of the service users and be able to offer support and advice to carers and family members. This position is within the acute care pathway, Unplanned Care directorate. Providing a service for people presenting in acute mental health crisis. The postholder will take an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for service users in collaboration with the North, East and South-East multi-disciplinary Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment service (CRHTT). The post holder will also have a responsibility to support the team in the development and implementation of a multi-professional service within the CRHTT Crisis Centre within the Lister Hospital Mental Health Unit. Providing high quality intensive treatment and support to meet the needs of people in acute phases of mental illness, and their carers’, as an alternative to inpatient admission.
